Transportation Reminder

🚌 Bus Transportation

Pre-K (4-year-olds) Only

Bus transportation is available for Pre-K students.

For safety, all Pre-K students riding the bus must be secured in a safety harness. Staff members who work on the bus and at school are trained to safely buckle and unbuckle students from their harnesses.

When your child arrives at school by bus, an Early Learning staff member will meet the bus and escort your child safely into the building. We take student safety seriously and follow all required Early Learning safety procedures from the moment your child arrives on school property.

If you have specific questions about your child's bus transportation, please speak directly with your child's bus driver.

We also encourage families to talk with their child about the importance of staying safely buckled throughout the bus ride.

🚗 Car Riders

All Preschool Students & Some Pre-K Students

Arrival

Please see Page 8 of the Student Orientation Guide for detailed arrival procedures.

Early Learning families must:

  • Park in the designated Early Learning parking lot.

  • Walk your child to the designated Early Learning entrance.

  • Personally hand your child to an Early Learning staff member.

We require an adult-to-adult handoff every morning to ensure the safety of every child.

Please refer to the map below for the designated Early Learning entrance and parking area. Follow the red arrow to the correct entrance and parking lot. Signs will also be posted during the first few days of school to help guide families.

If your child has a sibling in grades K–6, the sibling may accompany you during the same Early Learning drop-off procedure.

Dismissal

Dismissal follows the same general process as arrival. Families should park in the designated Early Learning parking area and walk up to the entrance to pick up their child.

When picking up your child, please bring your car tag with you. A new car tag will be provided to all families at Open House.

Returning families: You are welcome to continue using your car tag from last school year. You will still receive a new car tag for this school year.

For everyone's safety, please have your car tag visible and ready when you arrive to pick up your child. An Early Learning staff member will release your child directly to you.
