DEC. 12 - MCCSC eLearning
Today, Dec. 12, all MCCSC schools will move to real-time (synchronous) eLearning due to inclement weather. Classes begin online at the regular time. You will receive eLearning information via Canvas from your teacher or school. All in person programs, which include the Early Learning Centers (both North and South locations), preschools and pre-K programs, and extended day will be closed. All extracurricular activities are canceled. Any approved exceptions will be communicated directly to coaches and families.
In addition, all MCCSC Saturday events are canceled. We have been closely monitoring this weather system, and forecasts predict approximately 4-6 inches of additional snowfall. To help families and staff plan, we felt it was important to make this decision as early as possible.
Food service pickup for families will be available at Templeton and Fairview Elementary from 12-1:30 p.m. Families should RSVP at the form here to request the number of meals that are needed. Pickup at Templeton at Door 13. Pickup at Fairview at Door 12.

About Us
In the fall of 1976, Lakeview Elementary opened its doors to children living in the rural country area south of Bloomington. Lakeview students came from four small schools around the lake: Harrodsburg, Smithville, Kirksville, and Sanders. Lakeview's 63 acres, close to Lake Monroe, has a stream, farmland, nature trail, and even a waterfall that lend to many outdoor education opportunities. Lakeview Elementary is known for its warm and friendly atmosphere where all members of the school community, including almost 500 students, families, teachers, staff, community members, and neighbors are viewed as part of the Lakeview family. The Lakeview team’s mixture of teachers with many years of experience, teachers who are early in their career, teachers new to Bloomington, and teachers who were once a Lakeview Lion themselves, creates a very energetic and positive team that is focused on the learning and success of our students.
