Wrapping Up the Week (8/28)!!!
Another great week at LAK! 📚
Our teachers recently finished DIBELS, which helps us screen students’ reading skills and identify areas where they may need additional support or enrichment. Our teachers will now use this information to determine the best next steps for each student.
Did you know our students participate in PRIDE groups? PRIDE is a dedicated time for students to receive intervention or enrichment in key literacy skills. We use DIBELS data to review and adjust PRIDE groups to make sure students are getting the support or enrichment they need. Ask your child about their PRIDE group!
We also have “Walk to Learn,” where teachers switch groups for phonics and morpheme instruction. This allows students to receive instruction at their current reading skill level so they can continue to grow and build their skills.
Have a wonderful weekend, Lakeview families! 😊
