Wrapping Up the Week (9/4/26)!!!
Another great week at LAK! 🦁
Whew, what a HOT week we’ve had at Lakeview! ☀️ We are hoping some cooler, fall weather is headed our way soon!
It was another amazing week at school, including our first CORE Tunnel! We are so proud of our Lions who continue to show Community, Order, Respect, and Excellence in all they do. We love celebrating our students and the many ways they demonstrate what it means to be a Lakeview Lion!
A reminder that there is no school on Monday, September 7th. Enjoy the long weekend, and we’ll see everyone back at school on Tuesday!

🟧 UPDATE: ATTENDANCE- We Need Your Help!
Our current schoolwide attendance rate is 94%, while the state goal is 98%. We need your partnership to help our students get to school consistently. Every day matters!
If your student will be absent, please call the main office at 812-824-7061 so we know.
As a reminder, students with 5 unexcused absences within a 10-week period will be contacted to develop an attendance improvement agreement. Indiana law also requires schools to report students with 10 or more unexcused absences to the Monroe County Prosecutor.
Thank you for partnering with us to improve attendance and help every Lakeview Lion thrive! 🦁
🩺 UPDATE: SchoolCare Emergency Health Card
MCCSC is partnering with SchoolCare to manage student medical records and documentation. SchoolCare is a HIPAA- and FERPA-compliant program.
Please be sure to create your SchoolCare account and complete your child’s Emergency Health Card, including any important medical conditions, medications, allergies, or health needs. Account setup emails were sent to the parent/guardian email address listed in Skyward. Please check your spam or junk folder for an email from support@caredox.com.
A completed Emergency Health Card is required for students to participate in school field trips. Without a completed health card, your child will not be permitted to leave school campus with their class during the school day.

K–2 Families: Your turn is coming! The STEM Bus will return in the spring with hands-on STEM opportunities for our K–2 students. We can’t wait to bring the STEM experience to all of our Lakeview Lions!
🌿 NEW:STEM Highlight- Exploring an Outdoor Classroom
Mrs. Fields met with our PTO and a local contractor this week to explore how our current shelter house could be updated to create an outdoor classroom for Lakeview students.
Two years ago, our PTO worked hard to raise funds to help make this space possible, and we are excited to see how those funds can now be put to work for our students. We look forward to creating a space that extends our STEM learning beyond the classroom walls and gives students more opportunities to learn, explore, and engage with nature. Thank you PTO!!!
