Wrapping Up the Week (9/11)!!!

Posted Date: 09/11/26 (04:09 PM)

Happy Friday, Lakeview Families! 🦁

We had a wonderful Open House on Thursday evening! It was so great to see our Lakeview families throughout the building, visiting classrooms, connecting with teachers, and learning more about all the great things happening at Lakeview. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the evening such a success!

Today, September 11th, is also an important day of remembrance. Our Daily Roar team did a beautiful job helping our students honor and remember those who lost their lives on this day. We are grateful for the opportunity to pause, remember, and teach our students about the importance of kindness, courage, and coming together as a community.

Thank you for another great week, Lakeview Lions!

🍩 NEW: Donuts with Grownups is Almost Here!

We have more than double the RSVPs we’ve had in the past, which is AMAZING! We love seeing so many of our grownups wanting to be involved and spend time with their Lakeview Lions! 🧡

A crowd this size does create a few logistical hurdles, and I’m working through the details to help Thursday run smoothly. I’ll send more detailed information early next week, but for now:

🚗 Please carpool whenever possible with other grownups attending or with friends.

⏰ Doors will open at 8:15 a.m. to help accommodate the larger crowd.

This is just a preview to help you prepare. More information is coming early next week!

🌱NEW: STEM UPDATE- From Garden to Taste Test

Our hydroponic gardens in the STEM Lab have been growing like CRAZY, and today our students got to put their hard work to the test! They sampled several different varieties of lettuce and shared their thoughts about the taste, texture, and their favorites.

We need your help! Please take a look at the flyer below for all the details and information about how you can volunteer, donate, or get involved. Every little bit helps, and we are so grateful for our Lakeview families who continue to support our students and our school! 🧡

🟧REMINDER: ATTENDANCE- We Need Your Help!

Our current schoolwide attendance rate is 94%, while the state goal is 98%. We need your partnership to help our students get to school consistently. Every day matters!

As a reminder, students with 5 unexcused absences within a 10-week period will be contacted to develop an attendance improvement agreement. Indiana law also requires schools to report students with 10 or more unexcused absences to the Monroe County Prosecutor.

Thank you for partnering with us to improve attendance and help every Lakeview Lion thrive! 🦁
