What a Week at Lakeview! 🦁
Another busy week in the books! We enjoyed some beautiful, cooler weather, our kindergarten friends headed to Pedan Farm, and we practiced important safety skills with a fire drill and lockdown drill, all while continuing the learning and fun happening throughout our building!
A big thank you to our PTO for organizing our Dine to Donate event at Culver's! I'm always happy to have an excuse to keep my kitchen at home clean and eat out! We appreciate your continued support of our students and school.

📊 New: Spring 2026 ILEARN Results Are Available!
Final results from last spring's ILEARN summative assessment in English/Language Arts, Mathematics, and Social Studies are now available!
I shared a ParentSquare post on Wednesday, and your child should have come home with their unique access code and information for accessing their results that same day.
Please keep this code in a safe place, as it will remain your access to your child's results from year to year.
If you haven't had a chance to review your child's results yet, be sure to take a look! These results provide valuable information about your child's learning and progress.
🚜 NEW: STEM Highlight-STEM at Pedan Farm!
Our kindergarten Lions had a wonderful time exploring and learning at Pedan Farm! From hands-on experiences to teamwork and problem-solving, our students were busy growing their STEM skills. Just look at this giant game of Jenga!
🎃NEW: Fall Festival Is Coming!
Our biggest PTO event of the year is happening October 9th! Get ready for a fun-filled evening of games, activities, and our Trick or Treat Trail!
Be sure to check out the flyer below for information about punch cards for games, events, and activities. Our Trick or Treat Trail Candy Wars also needs candy donations to help make the night a success!

🏫 REMINDER: Mrs. Bodie & Mrs. Scrogham’s Open House
The Open House for Mrs. Bodie and Mrs. Scrogham’s Kindergarten classrooms has been rescheduled! We will have a quick Open House from 5:30–6:00 p.m., followed by a parent meeting from 6:00–6:30 p.m.

🦁REMINDER: Meet the Teacher with Mrs. Dean
Parents of Mrs. Dean’s new 5th grade class: Please join us for a special Meet the Teacher on Thursday, October 1, from 5:00–6:00 p.m. This will be an opportunity for families of Mrs. Dean’s class to come in, meet Mrs. Dean, and see their “new room” as they begin this next chapter together!
🩺 REMINDER: SchoolCare Emergency Health Card
MCCSC is partnering with SchoolCare to manage student medical records and documentation. SchoolCare is a HIPAA- and FERPA-compliant program.
Please be sure to create your SchoolCare account and complete your child’s Emergency Health Card, including any important medical conditions, medications, allergies, or health needs. Account setup emails were sent to the parent/guardian email address listed in Skyward. Please check your spam or junk folder for an email from support@caredox.com.
A completed Emergency Health Card is required for students to participate in school field trips. Without a completed health card, your child will not be permitted to leave school campus with their class during the school day.

🦷 REMINDER: School Smiles Dental-
The School Smiles Dentist is coming to our School on October 26th! All students who have signed up for the program and are eligible to be seen will be receive dental services on October 26th by the dental team. As a reminder, the dental team will set up in the school and see your child during the school day. School Smiles offers an Exam, Cleaning, X-Rays, Fluoride, as well as same day treatment if needed. This treatment can consist of Fillings, Sealants, or SDF. If you are interested in signing up your student to be seen please follow the link to the School Smiles Website at www.schoolsmiles.com/student-signup. For any questions, please call 855-497-6453
